# Sonetel

> Sonetel sells virtual phone numbers and calling plans for founders, freelancers, and small teams worldwide (~70% of customers are solopreneurs or teams under 10, per a 2020 customer survey). Numbers are available in 78 countries (geographic, mobile, toll-free, national) on three plans — Basic (pay-as-you-go, no plan fee), Premium, and Business. Per Google Ads search-terms data for 2025 Q4–2026 Q1, the top converting use cases are a WhatsApp Business presence and an international virtual number.

Forwarding remains one routing option among several. Two-way SMS is available from numbers in 15 of the 78 countries. Call recording, transcription and AI call summaries are included with the Premium and Business plans and are metered in AI credits, and pay-as-you-go accounts get a one-time credit allowance at signup that lets them try the AI features until it runs out.
